Small Print

The images can be shot in any format, using any camera model, on film or digital.

The series must be a substantial interconnected body of work, including at least 10 images and a maximum of 30 images.

_

Each image can be a maximum of 5MB in size. All images must be submitted as JPEG files – any files submitted in any other format (including TIFF, PDF, PSD etc) will be discarded.

_

There are no restrictions on when the submitted images were taken.

_

Your statement must be under 1500 characters in length (approximately 250 words) and written in English.

_

Once your images and statement have been uploaded to the system you will see an option to Submit your entry. Once submitted your entry cannot be altered. Only submitted entries will be viewed by the judges.

_

The final extended deadline is 5pm (GMT) on Monday 28th November 2016 and judging will take place shortly after the deadline. The winners must be available to supply images promptly for exhibition printing, and for interview by telephone or in person. Digital files of the winning images will be created for press and publicity purposes.

The winner must be available to discuss their exhibition installation with TJ Boulting and the exhibition print partner. Photographers may select exhibition print and install options that fit within our print partner’s sponsorship budget, or go over budget and supplement the difference.

_

The winner will have a solo show of their selected series TJ Boulting from 1st – 25th March 2017. There will be an evening launch of the show.

_

A selection of winning images will be displayed on WeTransfer for 3 weeks reaching over 80 million users worldwide.

_

If the winner lives outside of London and wishes to be present during the exhibition installation and exhibition opening night BJP will cover the cost of travel. The winning photographer is responsible for securing relevant travel documents including a valid passport and any necessary visas.

_

Should the winning photographer wish to visit London and oversee the install of their show, BJP will organise and cover the cost of accommodation for up to 5 nights.

_

Photographers may keep the exhibited work after the exhibition, but must make arrangements for, and meet the costs of, collecting them.

BJP and TJ Boulting cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to submitted work.

_

BJP and our award partners reserve the right to display, reproduce and publish in any media, any entry, without payment, for the sole purpose of the BJP International Photography Award and exhibition – this year and in future – and its promotion and publicity. No copyright is transferred to the BJP or award partners in respect of any works entered or accepted. Each entrant will be deemed to warrant they own the entire copyright for the work or that they have permission from the licensee and/or copyright owner/s for the uses.

All relevant clearances and/or model releases must have been obtained for the use of the photographs for publication and exhibition.

_

You will be asked to pay for your entry by Credit Card. All payments are handled securely by our payment partner Stripe. After payment, you will receive an email containing a personal upload URL where you may submit your images and statement.

_

All entry purchases are final. Having purchased an entry, it is your responsibility to upload and submit your images and statement before the deadline. No refunds will be issued.
